Introduction:
Main Street Bakery, a beloved community staple for over 50 years, approached me to refresh its brand identity. Their existing logo and visual language felt outdated and didn't reflect their commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Challenge & Solution:
The challenge was to create a brand identity that captured Main Street Bakery's rich history while appealing to a modern audience. I conducted in-depth research with customers and local residents, uncovering a deep sense of nostalgia for the bakery.
My solution was a design that paid homage to the bakery's heritage with a vintage-inspired logo featuring a hand-drawn wheat stalk. The color palette shifted to warm, inviting tones, and the typography became cleaner and more readable.
Impact:
The new brand identity was implemented across all touchpoints, including signage, packaging, and online presence. Customer feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the design's ability to evoke a sense of warmth and tradition. The bakery reported a significant increase in foot traffic and online orders.
